Match factory Many delivery deals have been discontinued for the new Christian Petzold “Mirrors No. 3” ahead of its world premiere as part of the Fortite lineup of directors in ear.
As it was declared earlier, the metograph painting would distribute the film in North America. In addition, the Match Factory has made France (Les Films du Losenge), Benelax (Imagine Film Distribution), South Korea (M&M International), Austria (Stadkino Filmvarlih), Turkey (Yani Bir Film), Portugal (Leopard Films), East Yugoslavia (Damarj), Romania (Dimba), Romania, Brilliant (Dimarb), Romania (Dimber), Romania (and Honey Film) is obtained.
The film follows Laura, a piano student from Berlin. On a weekend journey in rural areas, Laura miraculously survives a car accident. Physically unwell but deeply shaken, she is taken by a local woman who saw the accident and now cares about Laura with maternal devotion. When her husband and adult son also left their initial resistance to Laura’s appearance, four of them slowly create some family-like routines and spend a few days with joy. But soon they cannot ignore their past, and Laura will have to come with her life.
Petzold is a highly acclaimed contemporary autism. It marks the fourth cooperation between the director and actor Paula Beer, who won the Berlin Silver Beer for his performance in his film “Unedeen” (Berlinley 2020). His last film together, “Affair”, won the Grand Jury Award in Berlinley in 2023.
Artists also include Barbara Our (“The Book Chor,” “Yella”), Mathyas Brant (“Transit,” “Farewell to Europe”) and Eno Tribes (“Effire,” The White Ribbon “).
“Mirrors No. 3” is produced by the Shram film Corner Weber Kaiser, who continues the company’s prolonged cooperation with Petzold, and is co-producing with ZDF and Arte. The film has been financed by Filmförderungsanstalt (FFA), Beauftragte Der Bundesregierung Für Kultur Und Medien (BKM), Deutscher Filmförderfonds (DFFF) and Medianboard Berlin-Bandenberg (Mumbai).
The match represents the library of the match factory director, including “Affair” (2023), “Undin” (2020), “Transit” (2018), “Phoenix” (2014) and “Barbara” (2012), as well as initial work such as “The State I Am In” (2000).
