Quirino Awards announced dates for the inaugural lab (exclusive)

In a new-universe partnership between Quirino Awards And through Tannerif Council, Tannerif Tourism and Tannerif Film Commission, Ebero-American Animation Industry will organize its first special workshop in Tannerif in this November.

Quirino Lab will be more than 19-22 November and will aim to make and strengthen the Ibero-American animation industry professional at an important moment in its development.

The iconic Trans-Atlantic function recognizing excellence in Ibero-American Animation, Quirino Awards, “developed a new initiative in response to the immediate need to strengthen the Ibero-American animation industry and to prepare its professionals for global changes in the region.” The team behind the initiative also said how Quirino Lab “marks a new phase in commercialization of regional animation, provides special training to prepare Ibero-American producers for global challenges and set up a new standard for the field.”

The announcement of the new initiative also emphasized how animation has become “an economic and cultural driving force”, which requires some more and more rare in the industry: business strategies and time and location to reflect the next stages within the industry.

While the initiative was unveiled during the Quirino Awards Gala last month, Enterprise can now reveal more information about its clothes, including the laboratory dates in November and 1 July, which was closing on 24 July as the opening of calls for applications.

The special program will include 20 producers of Ibero-America and specially designed to “forge permanent connections crossing boundaries and markets.” The four -day initiative will facilitate state -of -the -art training with special workshops globally, including new market trends, audiences, exploitation models, impact of artificial intelligence in production processes and financial development, IP development and innovative organizational method. In addition, of course, strategic networking opportunities not only with ternarif-based companies but also with leaders of global industry.

The call is open to emerging and installed Ibero-American animation talents. Candidates should be an executive manufacturer with experience in the sector and produce at least one animated series, an animated feature film, or two animated short films. Other production professionals may be considered, but the priority remains executive manufacturer. Another major requirement is for professionals who can “show active commitment to the development of the animation industry in their country and in the Ebero-American region.”

Quirino Lab marks the latest attempt by Quirino Awards to carry forward the development of the industry. The initiative connects the Ebero-American Animation Space Futures Lab, recently an initiative in collaboration with Ortga Maarnon Foundation to run the future of animation in the region.

Established in 2018, the Quirino Awards are primarily sponsored through Tannerif Tourism by the Tannerif Council, which emphasizes its commitment to promote animation as a cultural and economic force in the region.

Quirino lab key date:

● July 24 2025: deadline for applications (23:59 CET);

● November 19-22 2025: First version of Quirino Lab in Tannerif.
