In footage that is successful, we learn why: both of them are surrounded by trans and fellow liberal thinkers, despite both the entrepreneurs who and the Professor Ellie of Science, they have got great comfort within traditional structures such as marriage and paternity. On Joe proposing the documentary and having an initial conversation about her life with Ellie, Kava says that all this was about the establishment of the “Trust”. “Both of them were very open with us from the beginning, we had only one chemistry. The crew was very young, only me and my husband, who were cinematographers and also voiced. We always limit the size of the crew for their comfort. We wanted to become a fly on the wall. The beautiful thing is that we became friends. We still have very personal relations. ,

“My Sunniseide” also provided Kawaka, who had previously studied philosophy and wrote his thesis on the gender development of freedom and equality in terms of gender differences, which later in life has a sharp understanding of how men and women are treated differently within society.
“Our hero has direct access to the differences of experiences and has clearly felt it in his own life, the way they have been treated differently based on the gender, which they appear,” the filmmaker explains. “This evidence was interesting, almost like a corpse examination, how people are treated differently based on their gender.”
Kava, who is Polish, but has lived in New York City for more than a decade, says she could not imagine the timeliness of her film when she first began working on it in 2016. Asked about the political waves of the film, Qawaka reiterated that films such as “My SunnySide” have been shown to be widespread audiences. “Trans people are like us. They have similar problems and goals and simply want to be happy, want to create a family, and there is a community around them. They are both leaders of their community, successful career … One of the goals of the film was to show how easy it is to identify with them. ,
In a statement shared with DiversityWho highlights that, “being just a film about a trans couple,” “My Sannicide” is a film about “My Sannicide” “love, relationships, nurturing and navigating the challenges that life puts in front of all of us.”
“My hope is that through this film people will see themselves, trans or not,” he said. “We are all trying to raise our children, face health issues and deal with scholars in families due to the current climate. At the time when Trans rights are subject to siege, I hope that we will help people remind people that protecting our rights is protecting everyone’s rights. ,
Ellie echoed her husband, saying, “Mahalida and Marsin honestly were able to capture stress inherent in trans life, especially tension between shame and acceptance. All humans live in these emotional places, but they are often the main features in the scenario of trans individuals. We hope that the film brings deep understanding of transgender individuals. Although transgender experience is unique in some ways, these differences often hide heavy similarities. We hope that by being able to portray the daily life of a trans couple, the difference will be less important than these universal connections. ,
