‘Charlibird’ and ‘Neches’ among 2025 Tribeca Festival winners

Tribeca Festival 2025 has announced a complete list of winners for each of its competition categories. Libbi Ewing’s “Charlibird” won the Founders Award for Best US Katha feature, Sarah Gohar’s “Happy Birthday” won the best international story facility and Sujana Herbert’s “Nachez” won for the best documentary facility.

Awards for the following categories were awarded: US Katha, International Story, View, Visiting, The Alberry Maclesles Award, Nora Effron Award, Short Film, Best New Director, Storytailing, Games, AT and T Untold Stories and Tribaca X.

“Every year in Tribka, we are ready to spot the most exciting new voices from all over the world,” said in a statement. “We are thrilled. Our jury honored this mission with the winners who today represent the vibrancy and diversity of global independent storytelling.”

The winners of the Audience Award, which are determined by the votes of the audience throughout the festival, will be announced at a later date.

Best International Story Facility: “Happy Birthday,” director Sarah Gohar (Egypt)

Special jury mention for international legend facility: “Kuerpo Celeste,” director Naira Ilik Garcia (Chile, Italy)

Best Performance in an International Story Facility: Andrea Riseboro and Branda Blethin for “Dragonfali” (United Kingdom)

Best Screenplay in an international legend facility: Mohammad Diab and Sara Gohar for “Happy Birthday” (Egypt)

Best Cinematography in an International Story Facility: “Little Truble Girls” (Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Serbia)

Documentary competition

Best Visionary Facility: “NATCHEZ,” Director Sujana Herbert (United States)
