Brad Pitt And Damson Idris Hit the track in real race cars to prepare for your work “F1“The upcoming formula one racing film.
“We finished driving for almost two years. I was told that we have traveled a total of 6,000 miles in these cars,” Pitt told Diversity “F1” premiere on Monday in New York City. “So, I am proud of him.”
The high-octane sports drama follows Sunny Hayes (Pitt), a retired Formula One driver who is back to the racing world to advise a hotshot miscreants for the fictional Apex Grand Prix team. The film also stars Xavier Bardem, Kerry Condon and Tobias Menzes.
To ensure authenticity, the artists worked closely with the real formula one drivers-including seven-time world champion Louis Hamilton, who also serve as a producer in the film.
“Every time I was behind that wheel, it was the most great feeling in the world,” said Idris. “And the fact that we found to follow the real Grand Prix and get around all the drivers – I met them to see, and I really got to see how they immerse themselves in the world – and they were very welcome.”
Director Joseph Kosinsky He said that he spent the film in a story of about a year, in which “F1” inspired almost every situation-inspired by the events of the world, including the cross sequence. Major race scenes were filmed in the Formula One Circuit around the world including Silverstone in England.
“This was a real challenge because we were shooting during a live sporting event, so we were not in our own program. We were on Formula One schedule, which is very tight,” said Kosinski. “So, instead of having a few hours to shoot a scene, or days, I had only three minutes in some cases, which meant that the actors had one or two who used to take it to correct it.”
Idris, a British actor, said that for the first time to step on Silverstone was the “biggest thing in the world” for him.
“This is my home turf,” he said. “And we all stood with Formula One Drivers; We met the national anthem – there was fireworks to end – and then we got to walk back to the scene that we were going to shoot that ‘We Will Rock You’ is playing. It’s Brad Pit. He is walking sexy. And I was also watching completely.
Idris continued, “Everyone was very happy, whether he was in his career. That day, we all felt like young children. And it is a will for the world of Formula One.”
“F1” is in theaters on 27 June.
