Bar/No record CEO 61

Mark LipsitzThose who were recently appointed CEO of Bar/No Records and have died with bands including Ivy and The Filiz, have died. He was 61 years old.

According to a representative, Lipitz died after a heart attack on 5 July. In a statement shared on social media, Bar/No Records recalled his contribution to the labeled in 2001.

He wrote, “Bar/any family is heartbroken to share the loss of our dear friend and colleague Mark Liptz,” he wrote. “Mark was a fierce artist advocate and made the music he discovered, who could all be considered the best musician and the best person. The music industry is losing an ally, an ambassador and a colleague. But Mark created people’s friendship and network that never do without their influence.

During his career, Lipitz was a famous lawyer for artists in the positions of many music companies, with his longest tenure but had the longest tenure. He signed the Ivy, which in 1994 counted the late Adam Slester as a member for the Atlantic Acurest Seed, and worked with musicians, including Dar Williams and Front Bottoms.

Born in 1963, Lipitz Memphis was a long -standing new yorker via TN. While attending the University of Census, he ran the college radio station KJHK. His first forest in the music industry was with a sales job in significant distribution, followed by seeds, whose roster included Ivy, Medar Rose and The Pastels.

Lipsitz left seeds for razor + tie, bar/none, which was established in 2001, while working with musicians, including Dar Williams and Continental Drifts, while bar/not, he marketed artists such as Langley School Music Project and Architecture in Helsinki. He also launched a vinyl reSu program for the records of Montreal, The Filiz and Alex Chilton. He recently joined the group’s upcoming album “Tres of You” for the set for release in September 2025.

Tributes were paid to the artists and officials working with Lipitz over the years on social media. Ivy wrote on Instagram, “We still have a career due to Mark’s tendency, our love for music vision and commitment.” “There will be no Ivy without Mark Lipscitz … Wayne will not have any fountain without Mark Lipitz … Mark Lipsitz would not have fallen into many dominos falling, including me and beautiful children of dominic, our careful today … This list is endless.”
