Adjoa Andoh, Evangeline Lilly set for tribute at the new Italian TV Fest

A new high-profile event dedicated to the Global TV series is being launched in Italy with “Brijantron” Star Adjoa andoh, Evezelin Lily (“Lost”) and Italy’s ‘Godfather of Disco’ Georgio Morodar will be brought with a career awards.

The new Italian Global Series Festival (IGSF) has a locally popular Italian comic actor and director Carlo Wordone and Cute actress Elena Sophia Rickki, who recently starred in Pubist Rai’s top rated Holocaust Drama “La Farfla Impossia”.

The IGSF is being postponed as the rebirth of the Roma Fiction Festival, which moved to the eternal city between 2006 and 2016 and was felt by the Italian TV production community to expand its horizon at that time.

Unlike its predecessor, the new TV event would run at two adjacent Italian seaside resort town, Rision and Remini, with the scheduled dates on 21–28 June. The slot will add another seashore coastal event to the country’s crowded June calendar, which already includes the Tormina Film Festival in Sicily that runs on 10–14 June and is filmed to Italy Sardeghna on 20–23 June.

Italian journalist Marco Spagnoli – who is the Deputy Director of the MIA Market of Rome – has been appointed as the artistic director of the IGSF, which has been organized by Italy’s TV Producers Association APA in partnership with the Ministry of Italian Culture and Italian Society of Authears and Publishers (SIAE).

The scheme is for both an international and an Italian competition strand for the opening IGSF version and facilitates screening, kenots and stage interactions for the first time. He will be operated by Laura Deli Koli, the head of the Italian Film Journalists, the President of the David de Donatelo Awards, the Oscar’s counterpart and Laura Deli Koli.

Members of the IGSF jury will include twice the Palme D-Vigner Director Bils August, whose TV series “The Count of Monte Christo” has been a large-scale hit in Italy, Oscar-handed director Christina Commonini (“Don’t Ta Tail”) and Paolo Jenovis, who wrote and directed the global megths “Perfect Strengths”.

The full program of Fest will be unveiled in early May.
