“Dog Bite Dog” emerged as a standout winner in 27th Shanghai International Film Festival‘S Sif project Prizes of market, recommended projects and securing both the “cheerful laughter” special attention of Happy Mahua.
Written by Caunu and written by Lynn Jio and Wang Hanmo, the Chinese style project was one of the several titles selected in many categories in this year’s project market.
“Handing South” directed by Yuan Yuan and co-written with Bolor Huang secured the designation of particularly recommended projects. Producer Wang Jing is cheating the title of pre-production.
In the emerging talent category, “A. Perfect Life” of Guo Shiaodong claimed that Young Director recommended Projects Award. The new talent project has a screenplay by Xi Longfi.
Creative recommended projects honored “Wintertime in a Small Town”, starring co-director Wu Chu Chu and Gao Zianagu, who also wrote the script. The pre-production project represents a collaboration between directing duo.
The “Good Drink Pub” proved to be particularly attractive for the industry partners, both earned the recommended Projects Award and Mof Yinghua’s new voice focus recognition. The work-in-tradition title of the director-writer Ametzon Memet is being constructed by Derek Zhang with cinematography.
Dong ji’s “Zoom in, Zoom Out” captured the annual recommended by the Audience Award, securing the Yingking inbetivin recognition with “Good drink pub”. The Work-in-Princtions project written by Dong ji, serving as a cinematographer with Lee Zhong by Cao Shakshan.
Many other titles were recognized by special industries. Sophia Wang’s “Find Your Way”, the characteristic of a screenplay of Lillian Zhang and produced by Obre Zheng, Earned Damai Entertainment Hanna Support.
“The Seed Will Sprout (Shanghai Daughter)” Tian Gong Yikai paid special attention. The Work-in-Princtions project has been directed, written and produced by Agnis Shane by Ju Ruizing and Liao Yong, written and produced by Agnis Shane, with Pu Wei Handling Cinematography.
Jhang Hedong’s “The Story of Jio Dong” paid special attention to the Hulin images. Work-in-prompress titled and directed by Zhang Hedong, Chen Kunyang and Sun You have been built as a cinematographer with Yang Kehan.
Aitu Xi recognized “Wintertime in a Small Town” with his special attention award, while China film supported Tang Ziaing’s “Back to Basics” with its special attention designation. The co-written style project by Chen Mo and Tang Ziaing is manufactured by Jing Chen.
Launched in 2007, the SIFF project serves as an important platform connecting Chinese and foreign co-production features with potential partners, investors and distributors. In over 17 versions, the market has facilitated over 100 projects entering production, strengthening its role as an important launching pad for Chinese and International Cooperation in the region.
This year’s version shows the projects spread over style films, new talent initiatives, co-production, pre-growing development and work-in-traditions, reflecting the market’s comprehensive approach to support films in various stages of development and production.
