This is not your first South by the Southwest Premier.

We did “bridesmaids” as an informal premiere because we were considered as a function. But then I went to the stage, I said, “Oh, it is really more finished.” He reviewed it, a lot for the capture of the studio. Then we did “spy” here, which was really great. I have been dying to get a film back here since then, but our release dates never work. I tried to get “jackpot”! Here last year, but it was far from the release date of August. I will do anything to play a film here. I just love it very much.

Why do you love it so much?

This is not a snouty film festival. Viewers like movies and love entertainment. And the fact that it means music, television and films that people are coming to celebrate art and entertainment. I do not need to be one of the festivals where you get a permanent ovation.

But you will not mind a standing ovation, right?

Until it is a protestor.

Did you have a sequel when you were making the first “simple favor”?

No, but then the film actually streaming. My productive partner Laura Fisher and I was preferring, “Maybe these characters can come back and do something else.” I love these characters. I love Anna and Blake very much. Then I thought about Capri and what would happen if this is a destination wedding? It is fun to take Anna’s character out of its suburban resting field, as much as he is comfortable anywhere, and putting it in a completely different world and on top rich people and top beauty and money. It looked very fun just.

Did you just want an excuse to get free holiday in Capri?

What I have discovered does not make films where you like to leave because your brain goes, “Oh, I’m on holiday.” But then it likes, “no, no, no,” because I am working with people on the island that we are now crazy because we are blocking traffic.

What was the most challenging part of film making in Capri?

It was navigating Capri. It is such a small island. There are roads that go up and down from Marina, but otherwise, it is just a moving city. You think there are no many routes around the property. If you are shooting in the main category and you have to catch pedestrians and traffic, it piles up so fast. We were not even in the weather, but there was madness. You will stop traffic like a three -minute scene, and suddenly you look up and there are 1,000 people on the road and one million cars stopped, and everyone wants to kill you. It was difficult.

The first trailer included Stephanie Reading from his new book, “She was a glamorous PR executive?” Or a cold blood killer? Did the Blake come before or after the dispute?

He was always in our script.

Are you already thinking about a third film?

it would be fun. We are definitely set for one. More fun items are to be done with these characters.

The first film had a dramatic release but is directly for streaming. Why?

It was always going to be a streaming film. The dramatic was never talked about. Does a filmmaker want his film on the big screen? Of course, but all deals were designed to streaming. But this is why I stick to things like coming to SXSW and all test screening that we do. We are going to do a ton-off-mouth screening, and I am showing the film at the Miami Film Festival. This is where you allow people to experience that group. But then it is also going to be fun to see people at home. I can almost guarantee you that people are going to keep parties together to see it because there are many people who are fans of the film. It is going to be a big party, even if you see it.

The second season of “The White Lotus” also took place in Italy. Was you worried that it would be very similar, the secret of a murder and all?

The irony was that “The White Lotus” used to imagine this way before coming out. But when I saw that “The White Lotus” was going to Italy, I thought, “Oh, nonsense, I hope people don’t think we have copied them.” But I also feel that entertainment should be aspiring in some way or in another, whether you love only those characters or they love you in the situation you love or it is fashion, place and all that stuff, you are taken to another world. And today, we need nothing but taking it to another world.
